FISH Malaysia - An International School

FISH Malaysia - An International School

Welcome to the website of FISH International School, a leading  international school in malaysia . With close to 130 students from pre-school to grade 12, this independent, co-educational day school offers an international curriculum based on the Cambridge International Examinations. In addition to academic excellence, FISH is committed to providing a challenging and rewarding experience for its students through extra-curricular activities and opportunities, as well as fostering their personal and social development.

Excellence Through International Comparison

Founded in 1993, FISH International School is one of the most established international schools in Southeast Asia. It provides a truly international education, with close to 30% of its students attending classes outside of Malaysia. Over 90% of its teaching staff are specialists in their fields, with over 80% holding postgraduate qualifications. This ensures that the teaching is of a high calibre, while also allowing for continuous professional development.

By regularly publishing comparative examination results with other international schools in Malaysia and Singapore, FISH ensures that its students maintain their competitive edge in an increasingly globalized world. Academics are key to this, as FISH provides a challenging yet rewarding experience for its students, with extra-curricular activities and a fully staffed professional development programme, ensuring that they are equipped for the future.

A Comprehensive Curriculum

The school offers a comprehensive curriculum, with students being able to choose from a wide range of courses, including Japanese, Chinese, and French, among others. This is enriched by the opportunity to study an Italian course, as well as by taking advantage of the large international population in the city, through its active membership of an international school network. Students also have the option of studying in the English language, as the curriculum is supported by and aligned with the English language teaching program offered by the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

FISH strives to give its students an international education, which it does through a number of means. These include teaching them in English, using English-taught curricula, and sending students to study at other international schools in Malaysia, alongside local students. The school also encourages students to take part in international student clubs and societies, and to travel abroad during school holidays.

A Community Of Talented Students

FISH is a nurturing community of students who enjoy learning and exploring new things, and who thrive on the challenge of studying in a foreign country. The school actively promotes a culture of inclusiveness and tolerance, with students, staff, and parents working together to ensure that every pupil has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Through this, FISH sets an example of how to make the most of limited resources and provide students with an exceptional education. On behalf of the school community, we would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website and for considering FISH for your child's education.
